Last night at P.J. Clarke’s Sidecar, Bob Saget stopped by to discuss and answer questions about his publishing debut, Dirty Daddy: The Chronicles of a Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian. Looking as if he hasn’t aged since working on the set of Full House, Saget reminisced about his time on the show and of his own family, with some not-so-Danny-Tanner jokes and quips.
At times, Saget appeared nervous and possibly as if what he was about to say was upsetting, but everything came full circle with a dirty joke from America’s most famous dad.
“This book has opened up me wanting to just talk from my heart but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to go lower than my heart also,” said Saget, before an audience of at least 70, equally split between men and women.
Guest Tim Burger took the mic first and recalled how he and wife Kiki Burger watched “The Aristocrats” in advance of the event to which she fell asleep 30 minutes in. Tim then asked Saget to explain to Kiki why she should not fall asleep during that movie. Saget’s response – “If a lot of horrific cursing relaxes her, you’ve got a keeper.”
Guests enjoyed refreshing spring cocktails made of iced passion tea and triple sec and manged on mini shrimp salad, roast beef, and roasted pork sandwiches.
In attendance: US News’ Nikki Schwab, Tim & Kiki Burger, FCC’s Neil Grace, Mark Drapau, Artists and Athlete’s Steve Ross, Brendan Kownacki, Mike DiRienzo, Emily Hines, Jayne Sandman, Allix Wright, and Ashley Mason-Greene.
