What single person played the biggest role / had the biggest influence on your journalism career? Three: Donovan Reynolds, Brian Lamb and David Broder (who helped my come to DC in the first place.)

When’s the last time you volunteered? Where? Too long ago – last Christmas at the DC homeless shelter

Who is your favorite active journalist? The team at “Frontline” turns out consistently remarkable work. That, and I want to be Hank Stuever.

What did you have for breakfast? >Something all organic with grains I’ve never heard of and free-range blueberries. I don’t really know; it’s dark when I eat in the morning.

What one toiletry item could you not live without? I’ll say toothbrush

If you could have one superpower, which one would it be? the power to silence all the drunks and derelicts who pour out of the bars and onto our neighbor streets at 3am. I’d be a hero!
