Duffy Off To Find Pregnant Wallet
The beloved White House deputy spokesperson Trent Duffy is moving on, he tells Paul Bedard. “My wife is pregnant, and my checkbook is not,” says Duffy, shown right walking with President Bush and Karl Rove.
“Reporters liked Duffy because he trafficked in colorful quotes, not the normal dry stuff that comes out of the press office, and was knowledgeable on tricky and technical issues like taxes and budget policy. He was also honestly blunt,” Bedard reports.
Duffy’s likely to hang out a communications/policy/government affairs shingle, as is commonplace for people like him leaving senior government positions.
Bedard says he’ll be taking off sometime after the President’s Asia swing in March.
