Fired Sinclair Reporter Denied

Word yesterday from Sinclair Broadcasting that its fired D.C. bureau chief, who was removed following his criticisms of the network’s “biased political propaganda,” has been denied unemployment by the state of Maryland.

The reporter formerly known as a tool of the right-leaning broadcaster, Jon “I have some standards” Lieberman, was found by the Labor Department to have shown “wanton disregard” of his employment obligations, which “was either a deliberate and willful disregard of the standards of behavior which the employer has the right to expect” or “a series of repeated violations of employment rules.” Either way, his firing was his fault.

The situation might have worked out okay all around though: According to B&C, he is currently a freelance producer for the ever popular “America’s Most Wanted” on Fox, and you might remember that Sinclair seems to have found a replacement more to their tastes anyway.
