(A Sprinkling of Things We Think You Ought to Know…)

*Your Chance to Complain: “Post Managing Editor Raju Narisetti will be online Monday, March 14, at noon ET to discuss the recent changes to the face of washingtonpost.com. Have a question? Suggestion? Gripe? Ask now. Major @washingtonpost redesign: [View here.] What do you guys think? #sxsw.”

*Parnes-o-Meter: Politico’s Amie Parnes earns 7 1/2 kisses (out of a possible 10) for writing a story with the headline, “FLOTUS Gets A Hockey Jersey.” She got the jersey from the Chicago Blackhawks and why anyone would want any memory of this is beyond us. Best/Worst line: Best: We searched and searched. Worst: “What was on the back of her jersey? FLOTUS.” And perfect for Politico‘s fun new Kids Section: “Do you know what this means?” she asked children who had gathered for a Let’s Move! street hockey event, before explaining the acronym: “First lady of the United States.”

*Bubbling Up: CNN’s Ed Henry is serving on the board of a newly created organization called The Bubbles Foundation, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The purpose is to raise money to feed the hungry and help at-risk youth. It’s named after the late Rao’s restaurant owner Robert “Bubbles” Ubriaco. Henry is a Rao’s regular. Ubriaco, a legendary Vegas character, spent 12 years as a host of a topless club called Crazy Horse Too. We don’t imagine Henry was a regular. The gentleman’s club was ultimately shut down by the Feds, and Bubbles was placed on probation. Ubriaco died on Feb. 10 after complications from a stroke. He was 65. Henry was among a unique group of mourners who spoke at his memorial last weekend.

*Shocker: Don’t fret if ex-MSNBCer David Shuster defriends you on Facebook and then blows his stack on Twitter. There’s still hope. Last night he refriended me on Facebook, after defriending some weeks ago. We’re glad to see he kept his word on this matter. After last week’s tweeting feud, friendship wasn’t looking too promising. Deep sigh of relief. We look forward to seeing a D. Shuster air guitar performance or an update on his upcoming investigative journalism venture soon.
