FNC’s Wallace Disses Jon Stewart

Fox News’ Chris Wallace proved an adept interviewer on Jon Stewart‘s Daily Show last night, grilling the host about the show’s former correspondent and current 40-Year-Old Virgin Steve Carrell.

TVSquad has the running transcript, but Wallace teased Stewart until he reminded the Fox News Sunday host “You’re surrounded by my audience.” One exchange:

Wallace: “Was there a pang of envy, the green eyed monster, jealously as you saw that Steve Carrell..”

Stewart: “No, because the entertainment business is not like the news business, we’re not worried about the other guy. Let me ask you this: when you see ‘The Situation Room’ do you think to yourself, ‘I gotta get me one of those?’”
