Fox News Lashes out Against NPR

Fox News is firing back on the matter of NPR’s Mara Liasson being asked to “reconsider” her appearances on the network’s shows, “Fox News Sunday” and “Special Report.”

“With the ratings we have, NPR should be paying us to even be mentioned on our air,” a Fox News spokesperson said.

Liasson, a longtime regular on the network, was asked to reconsider her appearances on the network’s shows, Politico reported earlier today.

The reason? Fox News’s “political bias.”

Liasson was approached by NPR’s executive editor for news Dick Meyer, and the network’s supervising Washington editor Ron Elving. Liasson, according to sources, does not intend to stop appearing on Fox News shows.

Neither NPR nor Fox News spokespeople spoke to Politico.
