Governing magazine recently added to its ranks a small army of new staffers. Kathy Gambrell, Mike Maciag and Dylan Scott all joined the publication’s editorial team this week. Gambrell, formerly managing editor of CongressDaily and a White House correspondent for UPI, is now editor of Governing.com. New data editor Mike Maciag joined the company from the Erie Times-News in Pennsylvania and Dylan Scott, who just completed a nine-month internship at the the Las Vegas Sun, is the mag’s newest staff writer.
The magazine also beefed up its business group with the addition of marketing director Meg Varley-Keller, Jackie Gault as sales director, and media coordinators Nurah Abdul-Majeed and Elisabeth Frerichs. In addition to the seven new hires, Governing’s Tina Trenkner was promoted to deputy editor of Governing.com, and Justin Greeves was hired as VP of Research for the pub’s parent company, e.Republic. Congrats to everyone!
