Gibbs Goes to Bat for American Press Corp in Copenhagen
When it comes down to it, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs is nothing if not patriotic. At the Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen Friday, Gibbs stood up for the American Press Corp when a crush of Chinese press tried to block them out.
“I’ve gotta get my American guys in,” Gibbs said. “…My guys get in just like your guys get in.”
Ultimately Gibbs dropped the gauntlet: “My guys get in or we’re leaving the meeting.”
