The highlight of the Radio-TV Correspondents Association dinner last night for us–other than, of course the free drinks, the long night of dancing, and Fishbowl’s gracious host–was finally meeting one of our heroes: the always unflappable dapper super-reporter Richard Leiby. From his weekly chat today comes this gauntlet:

Washington, D.C.: Can you comment on Ana Marie Cox as your successor? And where are you going?

Richard Leiby: No truth to that rumor. If she gets this job I’ll eat my Page 6 T-shirt — and Geraldo’s moustache after he shaves it off (he said he would if M.J.’s convicted).

So there you have it. It’s either never going to happen or Rich is going to be a very unhappy man.
