Google-icious

Inspired by Marc Fisher we played with a new toy, Google Trends. The tool lets you plug in words and discover what cities are interested in that particular search. Here are some interesting results.

Journalism — D.C. logs in at number five. The top four cities searching for “journalism” are in India.

News — D.C. comes in at number three behind Denver and London.

CNN, MSNBC and Fox News — D.C. is the number one city searching for CNN and MSNBC, but the seventh city looking for Fox News.

Chris Matthews, Wolf Blitzer and Tucker Carlson — Washington hearts all three. D.C. came in as the number one city searching for all three newsmakers. Reston landed in the number two spot.

Fishbowl — D.C. takes the top spot, of course.
