Greta Talks Eye Bags

Before and after…

FNC’s Greta Van Susteren can be sensitive when asked about her previous plastic surgery to remove undereye baggage. But in today’s “Answer This” feature by Politico‘s Patrick Gavin, she brings it up – herself.

Favorite body part?
“Under my eyes,” she says. “I paid for it.”
(She adds, “OK, it’s a joke … laugh!”)

Van Susteren sought surgery (and widely suspected and reported, Botox) in 2002 when she was gearing up for her new show on FNC. At the time she landed on the cover of People for it and told the magazine: “I looked at myself and thought, ‘God, how did I get to be 47?’” She reasoned the decision wasn’t like choosing a law school or anything.

Fun fact: Van Susteren was once suspended from high school.

Amusing. Worth a read.

> Update: The previous headline did not reflect accurately the actual procedure Van Susteren had. What she had, according to People magazine, was two-hour plastic surgery, specifically called blepharoplasty, or an eye-lift.
