Grim’s Liquid Metaphor

Restless leg foot.gifThis afternoon while discussing the Capitol Hill issues such as stimulus and health care, one of HuffPost’s D.C. correspondent’s Ryan Grim introduced a most disturbing metaphor.

“It’s sort of like peeing down your leg,” he said on MSNBC. “It’s sort of a nice feeling but no one knows you’ve done it.”

(Sort of a nice feeling?)

Then, strangely, the female host got flirty: “By the way, we like the glasses Ryan!”

Maybe hosts should stick to talk of his glasses.

> Update: Grim’s quote in its full context:

“[Obama] was trying to sell the bailout and trying to sell the stimulus in terms of how it will prevent harm in the future. Actually, Barney Frank, back during the bailout, he quoted Lyndon Johnson saying, ‘It’s sort of like peeing down your leg. It gives you a nice, warm feeling, but nobody knows you did it.’ So when you prevent harm, nobody knows that that harm could have happened, because it didn’t happen.”
