Guess Whose Cubicle…

In 2007, during the run-up to the Iowa caucuses, FishbowlDC ran a picture of M.E. Sprengelmeyer‘s “cubicle” when he was Des Moines bureau chief of the Rocky Mountain News. After the election, Sprengelmeyer returned to his job as Washington correspondent, but quite unfortunately, as you know, the Rocky Mountain News was shut down in February.

Starting this week Sprengelmeyer has a new “cubicle” as the owner, editor and publisher of the Guadalupe County Communicator, a tiny weekly on Route 66 in his home state of New Mexico.

In this picture, you can see three Rocky Mountain News street distribution boxes that will be repurposed to distribute Sprengelmeyer’s new paper.
