Hal Jones Named Chief Financial Office at WaPoCo

The Washington Post Co. named Hal S. Jones to succeed John B. “Jay” Morse Jr. as chief financial officer, the company said yesterday. Jones, 55, is a top executive at Kaplan, the education company that is owned by The Post Co. and is its biggest revenue generator. Jones, who has spent nearly 19 years at The Post Co. and Kaplan, will take over when Morse takes early retirement at the end of the year.
