Hot New WP.com!

This afternoon washingtonpost.com launched a new redesign to its home page. While preserving much of its traditional look, the site has a fresh new feel and looks much more inviting.

In an editor’s note, Exec Editor Jim Brady explains that the new design is meant to be faster, easier to navigate, and that it better presents the “deep well of content” covered by the site. (We’re pretty sure that there’s a sex joke in there somewhere, but we’ll leave that to Wonkette.)

The new site also prominently features towards the bottom the new GOG blog, an area entertainment blog written by the “Going Out Gurus,” where you can read all about Morton’s dry filet mignon sandwiches.
