The 2005 Hot-A-Thon: Results
Nevertheless, after a week of nominations and a week of voting that closed Sunday, the final results are in and it's our duty to report them. Remember, we began with nearly a hundred media types who worked at 34 different media organizations in and around Washington, narrowed it to forty finalists (plus three best dressed nominees) last Monday, and then the voters began to weigh in. By Sunday night, all-in-all, 10,424 people cast ballots--which we might add was nearly twenty times the size of President Bush's 2000 margin in Florida. Thus, without further ado, we offer the highly scientific and irrefutably accurate 2005 list of "14 Hottest Media Types in Washington": Hottest Female Off-Air: Katie Slaman (ABC) Runners-up: Hadley Gamble (ABC) and Amanda McClements (Freelance/Roll Call) Hottest Female On-Air: Liz Marlantes (ABC) Runners-up: Thalia Assuras (CBS) and Norah O'Donnell (NBC) Hottest Male Off-Airs: LAT's Pentagon Duo (John Hendren and Mark Mazzetti) Runners-up: Josh Gross (CBS) and Matt Labash (Weekly Standard). Hottest Male On-Air: David Shuster (MSNBC) Runners-up: John King (CNN) and George Stephanopoulos (ABC). Best-Dressed: Leon Harris (WJLA) Runner-up: Jeff Zeleny (Chicago Tribune) Email This Post |
