Can we just take a moment to discuss Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson and their inexplicable photo in Time’s Person of the Year spread?

What caused them to pose like that (other than Wilson’s desire to milk every last CNBC millisecond out of his 15 minutes of fame)?

Is Plame supposed to be off her meds in the picture or that some abstract representation of what it’s like raising twins?

This was the first picture of the couple — why the desire to go to the polar opposite now?

> Speaking of Plame, now we know why Bob Novak was talking to Karl Rove. He wasn’t intentionally trying to smear Plame–he was trying to help the administration smear someone ELSE.
