Jim Glassman and “Ideas in Action” join the ranks of Washington’s weekend public affairs shows beginning Sunday September 5, 2010. “Ideas in Action” will air weekly on two public television stations – Howard University Television (WHUT Channel 32) at 9:30 a.m. and Maryland Public Television (MPT) at 8:30 a.m.
Glassman’s previous television credits include hosting the series TechnoPolitics for PBS, MoneyPolitics for WJLA, and Capital Gang Sunday for CNN. He is the former publisher of The New Republic, former President of The Atlantic Monthly Co., and former co-owner and editor of Roll Call. He was a weekly columnist for The Washington Post from 1993-2004 and a senior fellow at The American Enterprise Institute from 1996 to 2008.
Episodes of Glassman’s “Ideas in Action” will be taped in Washington at DC’s Newseum studios and on location at the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
