Joined in Hope: FNC’s Bret Baier and Alice Cooper

Bret Baier, FNC anchor and ’92 grad of DePauw University, is being described as one of the “celebrity participants” in the upcoming 52nd Bob Hope Classic  between Jan. 17-23 in La Quinta, Calif.

What do he and heavy metal rocker Alice Cooper have in common? Not likely anything considering Cooper has used fake blood, snakes and baby dolls at his concernts. They’ll both be playing in the tournament.

DePauw’s website informs that Baier was a member of the “Tiger Golf Team” while a student there. This will be his “debut” appearance at this golf tournament.

The celebs and pro-golfers who plan to play a few rounds: Musicians Cooper and Don Felder; actors Kurt Russell, William Devane, Peter Gallagher and  Kevin Nealon; and athletic stars Greg Maddux, Bo Jackson, Sterling Sharpe and Scott Hamilton.  Pro golfers: Matt Kuchar, Stewart Cink, Mark Calcavecchia, Ryan Palmer, Heath Slocum, Bubba Watson and Cameron Beckman.
