Journos and Rock Stars “Unite” for Newseum Panel

Just a couple of rock stars.

This afternoon NBC’s Tom Brokaw moderated USA Network’s “Characters Unite National Town Hall” at the Newseum. A panel of 12, including WaPo‘s Kathleen Parker, Politico‘s Mike Allen, DC Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee and “singer, songwriter, philanthropist” Jon Bon Jovi.

The goal was to bring together a group of leaders to tackle the many issues facing America’s increasing diversity. “A conversation on how we can find strength in our differences and become more united,” the program read.

Panelists stuck around afterwards to talk with local media, except for Bon Jovi, who unlike his new single was “Born to Follow”… his handler, right out the door.

Thanks to friend of the blog Tommy McFly for this post and pics.
