Kushner to Perform Heart Surgery at NJ Group

Adam Kushner is joining NJ Group as the new Deputy Magazine Editor. He comes to NJ from Newsweek, where he is a senior editor.

In one of his more memorable complimentary quotes, NJ Editor-in-Chief Ron Fournier remarked that Kushner will essentially be performing heart surgery. “Adam will inject rigor and discipline to our analysis, ensuring that our reporters seize the heart of every story and not its capillaries. Under his guidance, National Journal readers won’t be left asking, ‘So what? Why does this matter?’ They’ll know what happened in Washington and why it’s relevant to their lives and work.”

Kushner is a New Orleans native and Columbia University grad. Before Newsweek, Kushner worked at TNR, where ultimately he was Managing Editor/Online.
