Lane and Rodriguez to Post Editorial Board

From the Post’s internal announcement:

We are pleased to announce that Chuck Lane and Eva Rodriguez have agreed to join our board as editorial writers.

Chuck, who grew up in Montgomery County, already did a stint in
Editorial, in 2000, so we know how good he is across an amazing range of subjects. Before coming to The Post, he worked at Newsweek as a foreign correspondent and international affairs writer from 1987 to 1993. He was senior editor and later editor of The New Republic from 1993 to 1999. For most of this millennium, he’s been The Post’s crack Supreme Court reporter. He’s on book leave now, but he will return to National in June to help cover the end of the court term and then join Editorial at the beginning of July.

Eva, originally from Florida, is Washington bureau chief of
BusinessWeek magazine. From 1999 to 2005, she was executive editor and then editor in chief of Legal Times. She reported for the same newspaper, covering D.C. courts and then the Supreme Court, from 1992 to 1997. She’s covered legal affairs for the Wall Street Journal and edited legal coverage for the New York Times. She is known for her extraordinary acumen, tenacity and good sense, and also for being a terrific person. She, too, will join us July 2.
