Maddow Shuts Down Sen. Brown’s ‘Maddow Card’

rachel-maddow-08-widec1.jpg MSNBC host Rachel Maddow’s show took a major twist Tuesday night as the show addressed Sen. Scott Brown’s (R-Mass.) fundraising letter about a potential Maddow run against him.

“For the last time I hereby recuse myself from hosting this segment,” Maddow said during her show.

From there, Maddow’s producer Bill Wolff took over and the entire first segment was Wolff interviewing her on her non-run against Brown.

What could ensue mania in the Brown camp, Wolff asked facetiously? Rachel Maddow, he explained.

Maddow shut down any and all rumors of anyone persuading her to run: “If they are doing so it is a silent, invisible machine that hasn’t contacted me through any means,” she said, mentioning a joke Facebook page created by a friend.

“I have the best job in the world, I’m not running for office,” she said. “It is completely made up by him.”
