More Hires for Foreign Policy Mag

Earlier on FishbowlDC: “Ricks Takes To The Blog

We hear that Foreign Policy has hired Christian Brose (formerly Condi Rice’s chief speechwriter and policy adviser for the past four years) and Laura Rozen (formerly a national security correspondent for Mother Jones).

Brose has a whip-smart reputation and has written most of what Condi has said in official addresses while secretary of state. He has started as senior editor at FP and has a piece in the newest print edition (now on newsstands) in which he argues that Obama’s foreign policy won’t be that different from Bush’s second term foreign policy.

Rozen has previously worked for The Washington Monthly and The American Prospect and wrote the afterword for Valerie Plame’s book. She debuts next week with a daily, reported column online called “The Cable.” It’ll cover foreign policy from the State Department to the White House and Congress and Embassy Row.
