Mr. Suspenders Re-ups for $7M a Year

lkl.jpgHard-hitting CNN newsman Larry King will stay on through 2009 in hopes of getting a retrospective with President Bush as he leaves office, Variety reports this morning.

LKL, which averages a million viewers a night, is CNN’s most popular prime time show, and at that viewership Larry will be earning $7 per nightly viewer–not a bad rate if you can get it.

As an amusing side, for all of the ribbing King gets about being a softball (or, perhaps, precisely because of it), the new State of the Media 2005 report shows that he’s the LEAST likely talk show host to offer an opinion on air.
