Ex-Washington Star reporter and author Myra MacPherson talks about covering John F. Kennedy’s Inauguration with Hollywood on the Potomac’s Janet Donovan, who is doing a series on reporter coverage of Inaugurations past.
MacPherson, who spoke with Janet in her Washington home, recalled the resentful reaction to her getting chosen to cover the 1961 Inauguration: “Who is this girl that’s coming in and they’re giving me all the best assignments?”
