It was a big night for locally-based magazine National Geographic, which took home two awards. New York magazine won five and — gasp! — the New Yorker took home a big fat zero (other losers: Newsweek, Time, Atlantic).
Foreign Policy magazine (also locally-based) picked up an award as did Christopher Hitchens and William Langeswiesche.
