NBC’s Engel Wins Bloom Award
NBC News Chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engel has won this year’s David Bloom Award for Excellence in Enterprise Reporting for his work while embedded with the soldiers of Charlie Company 2-508 of the 82nd Airborne in Afghanistan.
The award, named for the late NBC News correspondent who died covering the war in Iraq in 2003, was presented by Bloom’s three daughters, Christine, Nicole, and Ava at the Radio & TV Association’s Congressional Correspondents’ Dinner last year.
