Nehman Signs Off WMAL For Last Time

WMAL’s Mornings with Brian and Brian, which runs form 5-9 AM, is down one Brian. This morning Brian Nehman signed off for the last time.

After 12 years with the station, he has taken a job at Baltimore’s WBAL where he will anchor their morning show. Word leaked out a month ago, but Nehman didn’t address it on air until his farewell message today.

WBAL is owned by Hearts Broadcasting, which also owns WBAL-TV, the local NBC affiliate, so don’t be surprised to see Nehman pop up on TV from time to time.

Nehman started out at WMAL as a reporter and gradually moved into hosting.

Program Director Bill Hess and Executive Producer Heather Smith will keep the show going with guest hosts to sit in with Brian Wilson while the search for a permanent replacement persists.
