Nikki Finke: ‘You’re an Asshole’
On Saturday morning at 6:55 a.m. (3:55 a.m. Pacific Time) I awoke to the above message from Nikki Finke, founder of Deadline Hollywood. Apparently she didn’t enjoy our correction on Friday, which she asked for in an ultra polite note that she sent at 5: 27 a.m. Friday morning.
She wrote succinctly, “You’re an asshole.”
Bad feelings arose when we described her as a “gossip guru” on account of her years of entertainment reporting. She apparently didn’t like that, even though for us, as readers know, it’s high praise.
Memo to Finke: Good morning to you too!
