NJ Hires New Healthcare Scribe from Yale Alumni Mag

NJ Editor-in-Chief Ron Fournier announced this morning that Margot Sanger-Katz will be signing on as Health Care Correspondent.

Margot is currently the senior staff editor at the Yale Alumni Magazine. She was previously a health care reporter at the Concord Monitor in New Hampshire and an associate editor at Legal Affairs magazine. At the Monitor, Sanger-Katz wrote about medicine and health care policy and covered Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) campaign during the 2008 presidential election.

Margot graduated Cum Laude in 2002 from Yale and earned her Master’s in 2003 from Columbia School of Journalism. Margot has completed several health care fellowships, including the Knight Science Journalism Fellowship’s Medical Evidence Boot Camp in December 2009.

She joins the publication on September 7th.
