NJ Steals Roberts from Reuters

NJ Group announces today that Reuters Washington News Editor and Deputy Bureau Chief Kristin Roberts is joining the organization as NJ‘s new Managing Editor for Budget and the Economy.

NJ Editor-in-Chief Ron Fournier was effusive in his praise for his new hire. “Kristin is one of the most dynamic news leaders in Washington,” he said, adding that her “energy” and “intellect” were a perfect fit for the organization.

She begins on Nov. 1.

Facts on Roberts:

She joined Reuters in 1998. She’s covered Wall Street, the housing and banking industry and the Pentagon. She moved to TV in 2008, appearing as a D.C. policy specialist who also interviewed political newsmakers. Her degrees: Master’s in Security Studies, Georgetown; Master’s in Journalism, Columbia, B.A. in International Affairs, GWU.
