NJ Taps NPR for New Hire, Promotes Editor

Jamie Tarabay is joining National Journal Group as Managing Editor for National Security.  Tarabay (pictured here) most recently worked at NPR, where she has served as both a foreign and domestic correspondent since 2005. She’s fluent in Arabic and French and graduated from the University of Sydney in 1997.

Lori Santos, who had been serving as Acting M.E. for National Security, has been named Managing Editor for Breaking News, a new position.

“This is a double-shot of great news for our team,” said Ron Fournier, Editor-in-Chief of National Journal Group, who is known for gushing in these types of releases. “Jamie is a smart, incisive journalist whose energy and on-the-ground experience will add an even sharper focus to our strong national security team. And putting our breaking news in Lori’s savvy hands will make us smarter and faster, even as it frees up other editors to go deeper.”
