Some television notes this morning from cousin TVNewser:

  • In what might be the least surprising piece of news ever, Roger Ailes says he hates “The Situation Room”: “What they’ve decided is they’re not getting the ratings with their programming, so they’ve decided to get the ratings with their walls.”

  • Over at the Huffington Post, Harry Shearer asks whether August is a slow news time because it’s slow or because the press gets even lazier than usual.

  • TVNewser has a look at last night’s premiere of a new CNN documentary on the hunt for weapons of mass destruction.

  • And, lastly, we’re all going to have wait a little longer for the dream of Senator Joe Scarborough.
