PBS NewsHour to Join Sirius XM’s P.O.T.U.S. Channel

Sirius XM Radio will broadcast PBS NewsHour, the nightly one-hour news show hosted by veteran journalist Jim Lehrer, weeknights at 6 p.m. ET beginning February 7 on P.O.T.U.S.

P.O.T.U.S bills itself as the “non-partisan” 24/7 news channel dedicated to the “Politics of the United States.”

Lehrer will discuss the new venture with Joe Mathieu, P.O.T.U.S.’ program director and host of the daily show The Press Pool. In the interview Lehrer  will offer thoughts on the state of the news industry, the crisis in Egypt and the 2012 presidential election—including, says a  release, why he’s not interested in moderating another presidential debate. Mathieu’s interview with Lehrer will air on The Press Pool on February 7 beginning at 12 p.m. ET.
