This is the stuff of pure joy.
Politico‘s Chief Economic Reporter and the ever cantankerous Ben White (well, he’s not always cranky, just when the Jefferson Hotel screws up his reservation or when the W puts a bathroom sink in his foyer) is coming to town Thursday morning to host an open event—his second ‘Morning Money Breakfast Briefing’ — at the Mayflower Hotel with the CEO & Chairman of Goldman Sachs, Lloyd Blankfein.
“This time it’s the Rouge on 16th,” White told FishbowlDC on his whereabouts. (By the way, does White have any idea how funky the Hotel Rouge is?) He continued, “I’m very much hoping I’m not given a room under a dance floor as was the case at the W. I don’t get a lot of sleep given my working hours and the early Blankfein event but the few I can get are precious to me.”
As for the complaints about the Acela wifi and annoying people he travels with en route, he says he’s trying to tone things down. Hmmm…yeah, yeah.
The event starts at 8 a.m. and those interested can register here.
