Politico Follows CQ-Roll Call on Thune Prez Premonition
The “new name” of Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) may be emerging in presidential politics, as reported in Wednesday’s story by Jonathan Martin in Politico, but it emerged nearly a month ago in CQ-Roll Call in a story by Shira Toeplitz headlined, “Does Presidential Timber Grow South Dakota?”
Granted, Politico’s headline is catchy: “Daschle-Dashing Thune in 2012 Mix.” But the winner here is the striking blue-eyed Thune, who has received an extra special doubly good press deal out of all this.
