Rainmaker Judge Judy

judgejudy.jpgFor all you local media junkies, MediaWeek has made its annual update to the media market profile for Washington D.C.

The largely laundry list of changes in the media market–including stats on TV, radio, cable, and advertising–has some interesting insights and numbers:

WTTG is doing well with Judge Judy during daytimes, largely thanks to the African-American community.

NBC’s “O&O,” which is industry speak for an affiliate owned and operated by the network, WRC-TV is the market’s news leader and leading revenue generator.

And reporting the now audited familiar circulation numbers, the Post’s 707,690 daily (down 3 percent) and 1,007,487 Sunday (down 1.8 percent); the Washington Times’s weekday 100,603 (down 1 percent) and 43,660 Sunday (down 3.4). The Examiner has an unaudited print run of 260,000.

Just a question: Are there other newspapers that see their circulation go down significantly on the weekends?
