Reporter Ruins Dog’s Reputation

41789_115009445212946_259_n.jpg It’s hard to know what’s worse: living day in and day out with Michaele and Tareq Salahi – or losing your Facebook page because a D.C. gossip reporter writes about you.

Rio Salahi has had to endure both in his tender life.

After the Washington Examiner‘s Yeas & Nays columnist Nikki Schwab wrote about the party crashing couple’s pooch having a Facebook page (indeed, Rio friended her), the good folks over at Facebook alerted the Salahis and made them take down the pooch’s page. Now he’s reduced to a mere fan page. Read the item here.

Schwab doesn’t feel great about how the whole thing went down. “I actually felt bad about it, not super bad, but kind of bad,” she tells FishbowlDC. “I am a dog lover, after all.”

This may take the sting out of the situation for Schwab. On Rio’s fan page, his self-description (and there’s no doubt he wrote it himself) says: “I am the hottest star in the Real Housewives of DC. Love you all for throwing me bones!”

Schwab has not yet become a fan.
Ouch. That’s gotta hurt.
