Reshuffling at CNN’s DC Offices

TVNewser catches the news of some reorganization in CNN’s DC offices.

Ed Henry, who covered Capitol Hill for CNN after leaving Roll Call in 2004, is moving to the White House. He is trading places with Dana Bash, who has covered the White House since 2002. She’s moving up to Capitol Hill. State Department correspondent Andrea Koppel will join Bash on the Hill.

Head to TVNewser for the full announcement.

The announcement answers the “what” but not the “why?” CNN’s D.C. Bureau Chief David Bohrman gives the vague, press-release-language explanation that the “cross-pollination will strengthen both units.” But one anonymous tipster (perhaps inspired by the Gallup organization’s decision to split up with CNN) writes in saying that “Shuffling around the deck chairs on the titanic would prove to be a more productive task.”

It was unclear if the tipster worked for Fox News.
