Two pieces of minor non-scandalous gossip today:

    Word on the street is that Mort Kondracke, he of Roll Call and Fox News fame, has proposed to Marguerite W. Sallee, the president and CEO of America’s Promise and chair of the LPGA board of trustees, during a romantic moment at Notre Dame in Paris. She accepted. Guess he couldn’t very well follow in Tom/Katie’s footsteps and do the Eiffel Tower.

  • According to Karen Feld, the diet of vending machine goodies hasn’t exactly been enough to keep up Judy Miller‘s weight. Visitors report that she’s losing weight and looking frail. Evidently, Feld says, Miller wanted a job in the prison laundry but was told she wasn’t strong enough.
