In two week’s time, Roll Call has managed to snag yet another reporter from NJ. After recently stealing NJ‘s Dick (as in Jason Dick), they’re now acquiring Humberto Sanchez, who will be signing onto Roll Call‘s leadership team as a Senate reporter. He starts on July 11. (You’ll have to forgive us. We’re going through Weiner withdrawal.)

See the internal memo…

We are very happy to announce that Humberto Sanchez is joining Roll Call’s leadership team as a Senate reporter. For the last several years, he has covered the budget and appropriations process for National Journal.

Humberto brings a deep understanding of the way Congress works and a real appreciation for storytelling under the dome. His seasoned expertise will be a great fit for our talent-rich Senate team.

Previously, Humberto worked at the Bond Buyer, where he covered state and local budget and finance issues, and at the Dow Jones Newswire, where he covered the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Humberto will start July 11. Please join us in welcoming him to Roll Call.
