From an internal announcement from Roll Call, obtained by FishbowlDC:
I am pleased to announce that our own Lauren Whittington will take over the House beat being vacated later this month when Susan Davis joins the Wall Street Journal. Lauren has been a stalwart of Roll Call’s political coverage through four election cycles, and now will bring her sharp eye, graceful writing style and analytical skills to bear on the internal politics of the House of Representatives.
With Lauren changing roles, I’m further pleased to announce that John McArdle will move over from the campus beat to join Team Politics. John has done an outstanding job covering the saga of the Capitol
Visitor Center, cops, dangerous steam tunnels and more. We foresee big
things for him on the campaign beat.
And more good news: Emily Yehle will be moving from her current role as an editorial assistant into a full-time reporting gig, taking John’s slot on the campus beat. In addition to handling multiple tasks for the copy/production team, Emily has been an invaluable contributor to the Around the Hill section and as a spot-news reporter (most recently on the fire at the Cap Lounge). Please join me in wishing Lauren, John and Emily all the best in their new roles.
