Rubin and Shipley Hired for “Bloomberg View”

David Shipley and James P. Rubin will join Bloomberg News as Executive Editors starting in January. The two will lead a a new Editorial Page called the Bloomberg View which will publish columns and commentary for all Bloomberg platforms.

Currently deputy editorial page editor of the New York Times, Shipley will oversee editorial issues of the U.S. and Canada. Rubin, a former U.S. Department of State Assistant Secretary and husband of ABC News “This Week” host Christiane Amanpour, will maintain oversight of Central and South America, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Both will report directly to Editor in Chief Matthew Winkler.
