Schieffer Celebrates 20 Years at FTN

Hopefully the third time’s a charm for Bob Schieffer‘s 20-year “Face the Nation” anniversary event.   Originally slated for May 10th, the party was first rescheduled for June 15th.  Unfortunately the CBS crew learned a little too late that Schieffer’s second date conflicted with the White House Congressional Picnic, and so the event was pushed back to Wednesday, September 21, 2011.

Barring any additional calendar mishaps, CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager and President David Rhodes will finally fete the face of “Face the Nation” later this month at the St. Regis Hotel.  Fingers crossed!  And in honor of our pal’s platinum anniversary, we’ll post a very special FishbowlDC interview with Schieffer on September 16th.  Congrats to Bob!
