Snow’s Baggage
One of the first things sure to hit Tony Snow as he takes over is a blizzard of questions from the press about some of his previous statements on President Bush.
Progressive groups like Media Matters and the Center for American Progress are both gathering loads of Snow quotes from various forums to find places when he criticized the administration. Some choice ones:
“George Bush has become something of an embarrassment.” [11/11/05]
Bush “has given the impression that [he] is more eager to please than lead….” [9/30/05]
Do these quotes matter or is this just more of the same from the press?
