Stephen Barr: Gone!

Stephen Barr has decided to take the Washington Post’s buyout package, FishbowlDC has learned. The Federal Diary columnist has spent 29 years at the paper.

The paper put out an internal notice today, looking for possible replacements.

You want to work at the Post? Since the paper’s Weekend’s listings guy Barry Barriere (38 years at the paper) is taking the buyout, they’re looking for a new Weekend Listings Editor. And, since “Weekend guru of everything” Curt Fields (10 years) is also leaving (he’ll become the managing editor of a group of business magazines in North Carolina), they need a Weekend Deputy Editor.

Oh you’re not an internal candidate? Sorry, fat chance.
