Sunday Show Ratings, 4.27.14: ABC Wins Again

For the second week in a row, ABC’s “This Week” was the top-rated Sunday show last week, bringing in 2.94 million total viewers. CBS’s “Face the Nation” came in second with 2.63 million viewers, and NBC’s “Meet the Press” came in 2.2 million. ABC, CBS, and Univision were all up slightly across the board compared to last week. “Fox News Sunday” was down slightly across the board, while NBC was up in total viewers and down in the demo. This week continues a lackluster trend for NBC -they turned in their worst performance all year among 25-54 year old viewers, drawing only 658,000.

“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 50% of the country.

“This Week” is the only Sunday public affairs show to grow year-over-year, up +26% in total viewers and +36% in the A25-54 demographic. “Fox News Sunday” is flat in total viewers and down -17% in the demo, while “Face the Nation” (-17% / -12%), “Meet the Press” (-12% / -16%) and Univision’s “Al Punto” (-14% / -12%) are down across the board.

Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 1,876,000 total viewers and 357,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 513,000 total viewers and 144,000 demo viewers.
