This Just In!
On an all new This Just In! — Joe Urschel, Executive Director and Senior Vice President of the Newseum, gives listeners a tour of the mecca of news and recounts his days at USA Today. Listen in as Urschel explains why the Newseum isn’t your grandmother’s museum and why the obit for the newspaper shouldn’t be written just yet. This Just In! is produced by The George Washington University’s Global Media Institute and the Newseum. Hosted by veteran journalist Sam Litzinger, the weekly one-hour program airs every Sunday at 11 a.m. ET on XM’s Public Radio Channel 133 and Sundays at 7 p.m. ET on 1500 AM Federal News Radio in Washington, D.C.

Ink on the Brink
The highly acclaimed Kalb Report series launches its 16th season at the National Press Club on Oct. 5, 2009, with “Ink on the Brink: The Future of Print Journalism.” Moderator Marvin Kalb will probe panelists representing four areas of leadership within the challenged print industry about the future of newspapers and preparations for the uncertain years ahead. Pulitzer Prize-Winning Atlanta Journal-Constitution Columnist Cynthia Tucker, Washington Post Executive Editor Marcus Brauchli, USA Today President and Publisher David Hunke, and International Herald Tribune Senior Editor Anne Bagamery will join Kalb on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at 8 p.m. in the main ballroom of the National Press Club (529 14th St., NW, Washington, D.C., 20045).
